This Privacy Policy explains how WageArc accesses, stores, uses, and shares data. WageArc is a local-first shift calendar and pay tracker for personal work scheduling, reminder, report, backup, and estimated gross-pay tracking.
Data You Enter or Create
WageArc may store data that you choose to add, including shift dates and times, shift types, colors, icons, repeating patterns, manual schedule changes, job names, notes, leave, sick days, training, overtime, breaks, pay rates, pay rules, allowances, pay periods, estimated gross pay, actual gross payslip amounts you enter, reminder settings, app preferences, and backup files.
How We Use Data
WageArc uses this data to show your calendar, calculate work hours, estimate gross pay, compare your own records with payslip amounts, schedule reminders, generate reports, create widgets, save preferences, and support local backup and restore.
Local-First Storage
WageArc does not require an app account for core use. Your schedule, pay, reminder, and settings data are stored locally on your device by default. WageArc does not transmit your user-entered schedule, notes, pay rates, pay estimates, or payslip amounts to developer-owned servers in the current version.
Third-Party Services
WageArc may use Google Play Billing if you purchase premium features. Google processes payments, subscriptions, refunds, and purchase records under Google’s own policies. WageArc may receive and store limited purchase status information, such as product ID, entitlement status, purchase token, and purchase state, so premium access can work.
Google Play and Android may also provide the developer with app distribution, install, subscription, app performance, crash, ANR, and device-related information through Play Console or Android platform services. These services are operated by Google.
If you contact support, we may receive your email address, name if provided, and any information you choose to include in your message. We use support messages only to respond to you, investigate issues, improve the app, and maintain business records.
Permissions
WageArc may request notification permission to send shift, wake-up, leave-home, payday, or other reminders you enable.
WageArc may use exact alarm scheduling where supported so user-enabled shift reminders can arrive at the intended time. If exact alarms are unavailable or disabled, WageArc may use fallback reminder behavior.
WageArc may receive boot completed, date, time, or timezone change signals so it can rebuild reminders and keep widgets accurate.
WageArc does not request location, contacts, SMS, call log, camera, microphone, or broad all-files storage access in the current version.
Backups, Reports, and Exports
WageArc may let you export reports or backup files. These files can contain private schedule and pay information. You choose where to save or share exported files. Once exported, those files are controlled by you and by the storage, file, cloud, email, or sharing app you select.
Android device backup may back up app data if backup is enabled on your device and supported by Android. This is controlled by your Android and Google account settings, not by WageArc. For important schedules, keep your own manual backup in a private location.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your user-entered schedule or pay data with advertisers. Data may be shared only when you choose to export or share it, when needed for Google Play Billing, when processed by Android or Google Play platform services, when needed to respond to support requests, or when required by law.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local schedule, pay, reminder, pattern, report, and settings data remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, uninstall the app, replace them through backup restore, or use the in-app delete/reset option where available.
Manual backup and report files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them yourself. WageArc cannot delete files stored in your cloud drive, email, file manager, or another app after you export them.
Google Play purchase and subscription records are managed by Google and may remain associated with your Google account according to Google’s policies.
Security
WageArc stores app data in app-private storage protected by Android’s security model. We avoid unnecessary permissions and do not intentionally log sensitive schedule or pay values. Exported backup and report files may not be encrypted by WageArc after export, so you should store them somewhere private and secure.
Children’s Privacy
WageArc is intended for workers managing schedules and pay records. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your Privacy Choices
You can edit or delete data inside the app. You can delete local app data from WageArc settings where available, from Android app settings, or by uninstalling the app. You can disable notifications in Android settings. You can manage Android backup in your device settings. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
International Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights such as requesting access, correction, deletion, or information about data processing. Because WageArc is local-first and does not maintain a user account system in the current version, most schedule and pay data can be controlled directly on your device. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, when legal requirements change, or when we add features such as cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, ads, accounts, or additional third-party services. The updated policy will show a new effective date.
