Mount Gould / Center Peak / Mount Keith
Ascents of Mount Gould (South Ridge, class 2), Center Peak (East Face, class 2) and Mount Keith (North Face, class 2), June 12-15, 2013
Timeline:
June 12, 2013. I left Onion Valley at 8:13, reached Kearsarge Pass at 10:55, was on the summit of Mount Gould at 12:30, and in camp at 3,140 m near a tarn at the base of the East Ridge of East Vidette at 17:05 (an 8:52 hour day).
June 13, 2013. I left camp at 7:37, was in a new camp at 3,430 m, South of Golden Bear Lake in Center Basin at 9:45. I departed for Center Peak at 10:18, was on the summit at noon, left the summit at 12:35 and was back in camp at 13:38 (a 6:01 hour day).
June 14, 2013. I left camp at 8:03, was on the summit of Mount Keith at 11:10, departed the summit at 11:45 and was back in camp at 13:45. I departed camp around 15:15, and reached a new camp at a small lake at the foot of the South Face of University Peak at 17:05 (a 9:02 hour day).
June 15, 2013. I left camp at 7:20 to hike back down to Vidette Meadows and over Kearsarge Pass. I reached Onion Valley at 13:38 (a 6:18 hour day).
