Cybersecurity is the art of protecting networks, devices, and data from unlawful access or criminal use and the practice of guaranteeing confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Communication, transportation, shopping, and medicine are just some of the things that rely on computer systems and the Internet now.
The Pathways Coalition Cybersecurity Certificate program is funded by a National Security Agency (NSA) grant. The Coalition enhances student knowledge in cybersecurity foundational courses while using healthcare data examples and use cases. The certificate includes essential elements of cybersecurity, cryptography, database, artificial intelligence, analytics, blockchain, the internet of things (IoT), and other areas related to the healthcare industry. Students can earn technology industry badges/certificates (i.e., IBM, Microsoft, Google) included in the certificate. Authentic Use Cases are provided by national industry partners, including the Louisville Healthcare CEO Council.
