Summer reading is an important way for students to stay engaged, improve their reading skills, and prepare for future academic success. HCS is excited to once again partner with the Read with Malcolm Foundation and provide our students an opportunity to participate in Malcolm Mitchell’s Summer READCamp.
Summer Reading Dates
Start: Monday, May 29th
End: Monday, September 4th
Reading Logs: Students log books online through the READCamp website. All rising K – 4th graders have already been registered for READCamp. Log in information went home with students at the beginning of summer. Paper copies available if needed.
DUE: Monday, September 4th
Requirements and Incentives
Champions: Read 8-11 Books ~ Earn a Waccamaw Summer Reader Leader Bag
MVPs: Read 12 Books or more ~ Earn WES Summer Reader Leader Bag and Attend the Summer Reading Party
