Travel info

The city of Bayonne is the capital city of the Basque historical province of Labourd in Aquitaine (France). It is easily reachable by either train or plane. Below are some links with travel and accommodation info:

Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne Airport: just 6 km away from the city centre. It is well connected to Bayonne with buses (Chronoplus) as well as taxis.

San Sebastian Airport: In Southern Basque Country (Spain), at about 38 km to Bayonne, 2nd nearest option. In order to get to Bayonne you should take a taxi to the SNCF train station in Hendaye (5/10 minutes) and then a train to Bayonne (35 minutes).

Bordeaux Airport: A couple of hours away by train (SNCF), but it may have cheaper flights for some connections.

SNCF train company: with many national and international connections including high speed trains.
