The start of my art process is usually just a quick thought of a composition, I then experiment through a sketch or a rough collage of whether painting, illustration or photography would be the best way to achieve the image that's in my brain.
My overall style is inspired by the environments that I grew up around, those holiday magazines that would mail you things despite never giving your address. Along with the late 90’s and 2000’s decor and advertisements that lasted in public spaces till refurbishments of the 2010’s.
For photography, liminal spaces or experimental photos are what I take the most, messing with the lighting and environment till I get a satisfying result.
Drawing/ painting is used as a form of escapism then expression, with a mixture of various paint types and physical mediums, often of the soft variety.
Sometimes planned before with sketching and digital painting; others are going no pants in.
The interpretation of each piece is up to the viewer; I have my own, but seeing what others think is happening is much more engaging than having it explicitly laid out.
