Hi class. Unfortunately my 6-month-old son, Jamie, has tested positive for COVID. This means that I must quarantine, so I will be hosting class online, via MS teams this week (February 7th).
If you do not have access to a laptop or PC with a microphone and speakers/headphones, that is capable of running Rhino 6/7/8, you must join class from the computer lab we normally meet in. Otherwise, you are free to join from home on your own equipment.

This course is an introduction to and exploration of a breadth of tools, strategies and processes in the realm of Object Design, 3D Modelling, CAD (Computer Aided Design) and tools for Digital Fabrication (such as 3D Printers, Plotters and/or CNC machines.) Students learn fundamental processes within a variety of meshbased and surface-based modelling software platforms, and use them to plan, visualize and prototype concepts for projects. Exercises and assignments are designed to expose students to a variety of object design methodologies. Milestone projects will traverse a range of novice-level conceptual and technological topics relevant to practices and discourses in art, craft, design and technology.
