Repeater

The W0DBQ Repeater operates on 147.24Mhz 2 meter band with a PL tone of 114.8. The club holds a weekly club check-in at 21:00 Sunday evenings, all are welcome to check in. The club also holds a Tuesday night ARES net at 20:00. This is for current ARES members. Everyone is invited to listen and inquire about membership after the check-in.

Spring Brook Repeater.

The Great River Amateur Radio Club is on the air from Spring Brook Iowa. The new repeater has the same call sign W0DBQ. This repeater will operate on 147.06 Mhz with a PL tone of 114.8. Field tests show the wide range of areas covered. We have had QSOs with Waterloo, Marion, Davenport, Guttenburg, and east of Hanover Illinois. The new repeater is linked to the current W0DBQ repeater at the Emergency Operating Center to further enhance the coverage of the system.

We ask that when using either of the repeaters you use common curtesy and not double up with people already on the air.

Many months of labor have gone into this project and we all owe the repeater committee a vote of thanks for the time and effort they have expended to get this system up and operating.
