Here We Go Again!

So recently I came into an Motorola MTR2000 100Watt VHF repeater that was destined for the garbage pile. Not wanting to see that happen I decided it would be the perfect project for a MMDVM Digital Repeater. So an MMDVMHost card was purchased that has been designed specifically for the MRT2000 and I had to modify the PA to transmit on the HAM UHF frequency band. This is done by swapping out two SMD resistors on the PA circuitry to tell the repeater that the amp is now a HAM UHF band amp.

After many weeks of work, waiting, and frustrations I am happy to say that the project is complete and the repeater has been installed in a temporary tower location until its final location is ready for it.
