Welcome to our research group website; here, you will find information on our scientific profile, research themes and scientific achievements. We started in the Spring semester of 2022 in the Department of Chemistry, National Cheng Kung University, focusing on molecular materials with interesting supramolecular, photo-/electrochemical and catalytic properties. We aim to harness these properties to develop chemical systems that can: i) recognise and transport chemicals for analytical and separation applications, ii) efficiently catalyse crucial reactions for improving process sustainability, and iii) can use energy input from electricity or light to perform reactions as related to the conversion of solar and electric energy into chemical energy vectors. Further details can be found in the Research Projects page, summarising the fundamental knowledge being advanced and the chemical technologies being developed for each project. Prospective members are also encouraged to go to the Principal Investigator page to find more about what they can gain from my scientific expertise and experience, and to contact me to arrange a discussion for their graduate research.

For graduate students, we emphasise hands-on education through research, where chemistry principles are applied to solve problems of fundamental science and of societal impact. We aim to train the next generation of scientists for their career aspirations and for contributing to a democratic society through informed decision-making, following three themes: 1) fundamental chemistry knowledge for solving technical problems; 2) a broad set of experimental skills for practical applications, and 3) soft skills such as scientific communications, project management and leadership qualities.
