About Valley View Middle School Thespians
The Theatre Program at Valley View Middle School offers onstage and backstage opportunities for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students throughout the year.
Fall Play
The fall play is open to 7th and 8th grade students. The production is rehearsed at Valley View and performs on the Edina Performing Arts Center stage (EPAC) at Edina High School.
Spring Musical
The spring musical is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The production is rehearsed at Valley View and performs on the Edina Performing Arts Center stage (EPAC) at Edina High School.
VVMS Student Thespian Board
The VVMS Student Thespian Board is open to all VVMS 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in theatre. This group meets every two weeks before school from 8:30 to 9:05 to build community, explore theatre techniques and scene work.
VVMS Student Thespian Board Leadership Team
This is a group of 8th grade students who lead the VVMS Student Thespian Board. All 7th grade students who are active in the VVMS theatre program are welcome to apply for this position in the spring.
VVMS Drama Awards & Recognition
This is an annual award event celebrating the theatre season. Individual and groups of thespians for both onstage and backstage positions are recognized for their contribution to the fall play and the spring musical.
All communication about the VVMS theatre program is shared on the VVMS Theatre Group on Schoology.

Meet the Director
Hi Everyone - my name is Regina Neville, and I'm so excited to be directing my second theatre season for the Valley View Middle School!
I've been involved with the theatre programs at Valley View and Edina High School since 2004, supporting the productions as my three kids participated. My professional background is also in theatre and education and was the focus of my B.A. and M.F.A. training. I managed professional theatres for over ten years, and, more recently, have written and directed several shows with kids. Since 2010 I have presented the Stage Management workshops and have adjudicated technical theatre presentations at the annual MN Thespian Conference.
