Research
Research Interests:
My research interests span the area of information theory and communications theory, more precisely, the area of sparse-graph codes, iterative belief-propagation decoding and network coding, and applications of related ideas in wireless multimedia delivery and next-generation wireless mobile cellular networks.
- Codes on Graphs: LDPC Codes, Optimized Finite-Length Irregular LDPC Codes

- Network Coding: Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC), UEP RLNC, RLNC for Multimedia Streaming
- 5G Mobile Cellular Networks: machine type communications services in 5G (mMTC/URLLC), 5G radio access network design, 5G services for Smart Grid
- Multimedia over Wireless: Multimedia delivery services over wireless cellular networks (LTE/LTE-A, 5G)
- Multiple/Random Access: Random access using ALOHA-type protocols inspired by Codes on Graphs
- Distributed Storage: Distributed Rateless Coding, Distributed Random Linear Coding, Storage Allocations
- Probabilistic Graphical Models and Belief Propagation: factor graphs and BP in discrete (coding theory) and continuous (power grids) models
- Compressed Sensing: Connections with sparse-graph codes, graphical models and Belief Propagation.
