NEW: Graduate Research Positions for Fall 2022

Title: Software Architect for O-RAN Testbeds and AI Controllers

Tasks: The selected candidate will work on a collaborative R&D project to advance wireless technology and artificial intelligence controllers for Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) testbeds and lead the software development and testing. Leveraging existing open-source software-defined radio (SDR) software libraries, the developed software will be installed and tested on production-like outdoor testbeds using networked SDR hardware and commercial 5G and IoT networks with fixed and mobile nodes. The open-source software that we develop will be provided and maintained through common code repositories, offering diverse experimental profiles to users and contributors. The selected candidate will join a dynamic team and work with researchers, developers, faculty, students, and diverse communities. He or she will actively engage with the software radio and experimental research communities.

Required Experience: OFDM, software development, software repositories, machine learning.

Desired Experience: 5G New Radio, O-RAN, virtualization, massive MIMO technology, cognitive radio, software radio software (e.g. srsRAN, OAI, GNU Radio, liquidDSP).

How to apply: Email me your CV and motivation letter, describing relevant experiences and research goals.
