Making a full scale snow groomer would be quite advantageous for us, so we're doing a scaled down version. We gave ourselves some goals:
Groom a 10x10 foot area autonomously
Fill dips of snow up to 3 inches
Battery Operated
Easily accessible safety features including a large stop button
There were three main subsystems that we focused on which included the frame and threaded tanks, the navigation, and the obstacle avoidance. The extra parts were the plow, tiller, and groomer. Our end goal was to obviously have everything integrated together, but since we got into an end of the year time crunch we only got the three main systems integrated.
