Leonid Georgievsky
Russophone writer, poet, journalist. Born in 1980 in the Yaroslavl region. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University, in 2006 he graduated from the Literary Institute (Moscow). He lived in Yaroslavl, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Baltiysk, Uglich, Kaliningrad and other cities. Worked in Russia and Ukraine. A former social and queer activist, binary trans man post-op. Until 2021, he was published under the name Elena Georgievskaya. He changed the gender marker on passport in 2023.
Prizes: long list of the Biennale of Drama “Free Theater” (2015), “Debyut” (2006, 2013, 2015), short list of the Victor Astafiev’s Prize (2010), “Nonconformism” (2012, 2017) and others. Winner of the award of the magazine “Futurum Art” (2006), “Silver Bullet” (2010).
