Dr. Vivek Kumar (SMIEEE, Fellow-SCRS) is an NLP enthusiast and is currently a Research Scientist (Fellow) at ADAPT Research Center and Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin, Ireland. Before this, he was a senior researcher at the University of the Federal Armed Forces (UniBwM) under the Ministry of Defence, Germany. He coordinates STELAR, an EU's Horizon program targeting "Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Robotics." In 2019, he won the Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowship for the ambitious project PhilHumans under the EU's Horizon 2020 ITN network program. He worked as a Marie-Curie Researcher at Philips Research, the Netherlands, and the University of Cagliari, Italy, and received his doctorate in 2023 through this ITN network program. Before this, Dr. Kumar worked as a Research Engineer for the project "Search for Hidden Particles" (SHiP) of the European Commission of Nuclear Research (CERN) at NUST-MiSiS.
He has been a reviewer/PC/TPC member and co-chair for several top conferences/workshops, including ACL, ECAI, ECML-PKDD, EMNLP, ACM-SAC, and ICASSP and several high-impact journals from Elsevier, IEEE, Springer, and MDPI. Dr. Kumar is also a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a fellow of the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS). He is also a member of the International Neural Network Society (INNS) and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Dr. Kumar is a seasoned speaker and has delivered several keynote and technical talks.
