History of the R&S Program
The road and safety program was instituted on July 4th 1979 by Superintendent James Mcainely of the Virginia State Police. This program was put into place to keep all drivers safe by implementing laws through the United States and the Virginia States constitution, The main reason why this program was put into place was to keep all drivers in the state safe by providing vehicle inspections, Commercial inspections, and Trucking lanes for the states freeways, interstates, and highways. This program has been enforced for decades upon decades, and will now be served forever in the state of virginia as to this program being officially constituted in 1995.
If you have any questions or concerns about the Road and Safety program please contact a trooper, or contact Virginia State Police’s email (discords modmail) for all of your inquiries.
