Race Results CSV File Creator
The Race Results CSV File Creator is designed to simplify the management and creation of race result files in CSV format. This tool is particularly useful for Vsk5 players and hosts that frequently interact with the race results CSV files generated by Vsk5. The application allows you to manually input race data, including finish positions, race times in milliseconds, sailor IDs (logins), and boat names. The race results are then displayed in a user friendly table, where you can edit, and delete entries as needed.
To get started, simply enter race information into the provided fields (Finish Position, Race Time, Sailor ID, and Boat Name) and click "Add Entry" to populate the table. Once your data is correctly entered or modified, you can download the CSV file for use with race scoring systems. There is also an option to include a standard header row in the CSV, which can be useful for compatibility with other tools.
This tool is especially beneficial when working with VSK5 race results, where time data is often recorded in milliseconds. By offering a time conversion feature, the app allows you to easily convert race times from minutes and seconds format to milliseconds, ensuring that the data is ready for accurate scoring and analysis. The ability to edit, and delete entries makes it easy to maintain and correct race data as needed, while the CSV export feature ensures that the data is readily available.
Managing CSV files can often be a challenge, especially when dealing with raw data. The CSV File Editor simplifies the process by displaying CSV data in a clean, structured tabular format with a highlighted background, making the data much easier to read and work with.
Vsk5 does not produce CSV files with a header row, so the editor allows you to easily add a header row to your csv file for use with our Average Speeds / Record Times scoring app.
For further visual enhancement, the app includes light and dark mode options, allowing users to choose the most comfortable viewing experience. Whether you're editing values or simply browsing large datasets, the intuitive layout and improved contrast ensure reduced eye strain and a more efficient workflow.
By transforming standard CSV files into an easy-to-navigate table, this editor makes working with data far more accessible, convenient, and visually appealing. It’s the perfect tool for anyone who frequently interacts with CSV files and values a clear, user-friendly interface.
Your race results CSV files are located in your C:\Documents\Vsk5\Results folder.
