Darwin Salazar is a student leader from Alexandria, Virginia, dedicated to strengthening student voice and ensuring that young people are heard in decisions about their education. He advocates for equity, transparency, and the inclusion of immigrant, multilingual, and working class students in school board conversations.

My biggest inspiration is my mom. A few things I like are Taco Bell, Mexican food, and BOJANGLES!! Little fun fact about me is that I’m terrified of mascots and hairy food… also my favorite color is pink and my favorite movie is The Help.

Kayla Hamlett is a senior at Tunstall High School in Pittsylvania County, where she serves as a student school board representative. She was previously a member of the marching band, where she held a leadership position for two years. She was also previously a member of the concert band. Currently, she's involved in athletics, Spanish club, book club, and the ACE team. Kayla enjoys helping others, so feel free to reach out if you need anything!

Anna Stoler, originally from Ringgold, Virginia, has distinguished herself through various leadership and extracurricular activities, including serving as a student representative on the Pittsylvania County School Board. She has demonstrated athletic leadership as captain of both the Varsity Volleyball and Softball teams. Her involvement extends to academic and service organizations, where she held the position of VP of Finance for DECA in her junior year and was a Bible leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes during her senior year. Additionally, Anna is an active member of the National Beta Club, the Friends of Rachel Club, and she worked part-time at Buffalo Wild Wings her junior and senior year.
During her final year of high school, she initiated and led weekly Bible studies for her teammates and undertook an independent research project for the benefit of her peers. Anna is committed to inspiring others in their walk with Christ, and encouraging leadership, accountability, and responsibility within her educational community.

My name is Jasmin Flores, and I will be one of your board members for VSBRSA. I am currently the Student Liaison for Surry County. In my free time I love to play volleyball and softball, work on competitions for TSA, and volunteer at community service events. I have many leadership roles throughout my school and I am excited to use my leadership skills within this role. I look forward to working with everyone!

Kaycee is a senior at Sussex Central High School and a dual-enrollment student at Richard Bland College. She’s planning to pursue a career in public relations and is involved in a lot of activities.
At school, Kaycee serves as Senior Class Secretary, Senior Class Student Representative, and the Fundraising Specialist for Student Council. She’s also a member of Beta Club. Outside the classroom, she’s a dedicated volleyball player and has been team captain for the past two years.
Kaycee is involved in Girl Scouts, where she’s earned her Silver Award and is working toward her Gold Award.
She also participates in pageants and modeling, and even created her own pageant, Miss Sussex County.
Along with her school and community work, Kaycee is active in two leadership programs at her church. With her mix of creativity, leadership, and community involvement, Kaycee works hard to make a positive impact wherever she goes and she plans to bring that same energy to VSBSRA.
