The VRCC was established in 2014 as a means for vocational rehabilitation organizations to work together on issues vital to the Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling community and profession. Comprised of professional vocational rehabilitation organizations, the purpose of the Coalition to ensure that people with disabilities have access to the best-qualified, professionally-prepared, knowledgeable, credentialed counseling professionals to empower them in navigating the challenges to achieving increased independence, community integration, and competitive employment. Collectively the VRCC addresses and acts upon current and future threats to the field of Rehabilitation Counseling, and strategically plans for and dynamically advance the profession of Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. The VRCC recognizes and values the importance of active collaboration with the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) and accrediting bodies.
