Viswanathan Ramachandran is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Subsequently, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Technical University of Eindhoven, Netherlands as well as KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. His research interests are in information theory and communications, particularly in multi-terminal settings, with applications in wireless and optical domains. He was a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Ph.D. research from IIT Bombay in 2021, and also the Marie-Curie individual fellowship 2022 from the European Commission.
