Knowledge Resource Center(Library) is a consistent source of wealth of information and is a prime requisite for any institute of learning and teaching. Knowledge Research Center(Library) has a collection of over 10,500 volumes that include resources in different forms like books, theses, dissertations, journals, special publications. Knowledge Research Center(Library) subscribes to 15 National journals and 5 Magazines and also an e-source,e-journals.There is a spacious reading room with a capacity of 128 students. The reading room is open from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.
VISION
The VPPC-Knowledge Resource Center seeks to facilitate seamless access to quality knowledge and information resources in all formats. To execute this vision, the VPPC-KRC will create congenial atmosphere that will allow interface of library resources for integrative scholarship.
SWAYAM PRABHA
The SWAYAM PRABHA is a group of 22 DTH channels devoted to telecasting of high-quality educational programmes on 24X7 basis using the GSAT-15 satellite. Every day, there will be new content for at least (4) hours which would be repeated 5 more times in a day, allowing the students to choose the time of their convenience. The channels are uplinked from BISAG-N, Gandhinagar. The contents are provided by NPTEL, IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU. The INFLIBNET Centre maintains the web portal.
The National Digital library of India (NDLI) is a project under Ministry of human resource development The Government of India. The objective is to collect and collate metadata and provide full text index from several national and international digital libraries, as well as other relevant sources. It is a digital repository containing textbooks, articles, videos, audio books, lectures, simulations, fiction and all other kinds of learning media. The NDLI provides free of cost access to many books in the Indian languages and English.
SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy.
The Directory of Open Access Journals is a website that hosts a community-curate list of open access journals, maintained by Infrastructure Services for Open Access.
DOAB is a community-driven discovery service that indexes, provides access to scholarly, peer-reviewed open access books, and helps users to find trusted open access book publishers. All DOAB services are free of charge and all data is freely available.
Vidya-mitra is an online learning portal for all the e-content projects developed under the NME-ICT (National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology), MHRD. The portal provides facility to search and browse all hosted content wherein a learner can easily access the desired material including audio/video learning material, textual material, multimedia-enriched materials etc. through a single interface. Moreover, features of faceted search, usage statistics, project-wise access, My-Space are incorporated in this portal.
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology in 2003. Five core disciplines were identified, namely, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering and 235 courses in web/video format were developed in this phase.
Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) was promoted by the Department of Higher and Technical Education (H & TE), Government of Maharashtra (GoM), India and was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956.
