FLYING TO PESCARA
Pescara has an airport with direct connections to/from London (Stansted), Barcelona (Girona), Bruxelles (Charleroi), Kraków, Warsaw, Malta, Bucarest, Prague, Tirana, Düsseldorf (Weeze) and Frankfurt Hahn – most of them Ryanair flights – which might be useful options for those of you travelling to Italy from/via Europe. These flights weekly timetables may vary according to the season (some are only activated in the period from April to October), so we recommend checking the airport website or the Ryanair one directly when planning your travel.
Pescara’s airport also offers a few national flights from/to Alghero, Bergamo (Orio al Serio), Catania, Trapani, Turin, and Milan (Linate). Both Milan and Bergamo can also be useful as stopover airports when flying to Pescara.
FLYING TO ROME
The conference participants travelling from any other location than the ones mentioned above can consider taking a flight to Rome (either Ciampino or Fiumicino), and then one of the direct coaches to Pescara available from both airports. We advise against travelling by train, since Rome-Pescara railways connections are more complicated and time-consuming than those granted by coaches.
If you are planning to fly to one of Rome’s airports, you can check the coaches timetables and prices on the websites of the following companies:
– Prontobus (in English or Italian)
– Flixbus (in multiple languages)
– Dicarlobus (in Italian, and only for coaches departing from Fiumicino Airport)*
*(Please, do not hesitate to ask us if you need our assistance with Italian-only webpages).
ROME TO/FROM PESCARA
If you are planning to stay in Rome for a few days before or after the conference, you can comfortably resort to other coach lines directly connecting Pescara to Rome’s Tiburtina coach station (a few underground stops away from Termini train station). These coaches can be booked through the following websites:
– Di Fonzo autotrasporti (in English or Italian)
– Prontobus (in English or Italian)
If you are planning to reach Pescara by train from other locations, you can check the available routes and prices on the official Trenitalia website (available in multiple languages).
