Ranum Reimagined will greatly expand the CTE programs offered in the Westminster Public Schools (WPS) school district, complementing the 13 now offered at Westminster High School. As Board of Education (BOE) members, we will support the growth of these technical programs for both our students and, at night, all interested individuals. Ranum will enable our students to pursue a successful career path while earning their high school diploma. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to explore their interests and reach for their dreams.
The Westminster Public School district currently has, and has had, the highest starting Teacher and Educational Support Professional salary schedules in Colorado. Consequently, WPS has one of the lowest employee turnover rates in the Denver Metro Area. As BOE members, we will strongly support our amazing staff and keep our retention rate high.
As parents, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of our students and employees. As BOE members, we will prioritize budgeting and spending that ensures our schools are as safe as possible. Coupled with our concern for physical safety is our concern for our students' mental well-being. That includes continued financial support from the Project Aware Grant, which is aimed at building a sustainable infrastructure for mental health programs and services in the district.
