I want to congratulate Mayor-Elect Littman and the Alderpersons elected to City Council in the Annapolis City Election on November 4, 2025. I spoke with Alderwoman Karma O’Neil immediately after the polls closed Tuesday, shook her hand, and congratulated her on a strong campaign and well-earned victory. I encourage these city leaders to serve with wisdom, integrity, and devotion to the people during their next four years in office. The voters have clearly expressed their wish to maintain the current direction of our city government, and I feel compelled to remind our new leaders that “with great power comes great responsibility.”
I want to thank all of my campaign workers, supporters, and the voters who gave their time, ideas, and energy to make our campaign meaningful. This experience has been a profound lesson in civics, political science, sociology, and psychology. I had the privilege of meeting many more of my neighbors, and I look forward to staying connected with you in the future. Your encouragement to run for office and promote leadership grounded in integrity and purpose has meant the world to me.
Throughout the campaign, I pledged to be a voice for all of our Ward 2 neighbors—regardless of background, social circles, or economic status. My commitment was, and remains, to advocate for positive change in our community and our city.
Moving forward, I will continue to be a voice for integrity in government, improved public safety, better and more accessible city services, expanded affordable housing, and greater opportunity for our disadvantaged neighbors. While my voice may now be somewhat quieter outside of elected office, I will not stop speaking up—and I invite you to join me so that together, the voices of the people remain strong and clear.
Let’s all stay engaged with our city government as we work toward the American ideal of a government of the people and for the people.
May God bless you, our city, and our nation.
