Vote on Election Day
To The Editor:
I am pleased to enthusiastically endorse Erin Gibbons for School Committee. I know her to be a strong advocate of our students, but also a pragmatic supporter of careful budgeting.
I feel particularly compelled to write as several people have expressed confusion caused by the existence of another Kevin Murphy (the husband of a Wayland teacher) who is running Erin's competitor's website. Obviously, that is not me.
I urge you to make it to the polls on May 10 and vote for Erin Gibbons.

To The Editor:
As a Wayland resident, prior Wayland Public School educator, and current Belmont Public School educator, I am voicing my support for Erin Gibbons for School Committee. My family has known Erin and her family for many years. Her commitment to raising strong confident children goes beyond her own family. She helps to foster confidence in my children as well as others in the community by encouraging them in her role as a soccer coach. Her direct involvement as a member of the Happy Hollow, Middle School, and High School council shows her dedication and commitment to the students of the town as a whole. Her dedication to our community runs deep through her family’s commitment to the Town of Wayland as members of both the police and fire departments for the past three generations. As an attorney, Erin has the experience and ability to maintain professionalism in her problem solving approach. It also provides her the ability to keep focused on resolution to issues. For all these reasons, Erin Gibbons has my vote for School Committee.

To The Editor:
Erin Gibbons is just the type of representative we need on the School Committee here in Wayland.
She is the mother of four wonderful daughters - all in our schools - and next year will have a child (or 2) in each level of education. So she has both past and current experience within our schools.
She has been an avid volunteer both within the schools and within various town athletic programs - helping to make both the programs and kids better with excellent guidance, passion and compassion.
Erin doesn’t shy away from the hard conversations - but tries to bring both sides of an issue to the forefront for good discussion and more importantly good decision making.
She has an extensive professional career in law, contracting, negotiating, real estate and planning - all areas needed to help the school board run more effectively.
And finally - Erin is an amazing advocate for all families in Wayland. She is passionate about our schools being the best they can be for all families and will spend her time on the board ensuring all voices are heard and represented.
I truly hope we see her on the ballot and eventually on the board.

To The Editor:
As parents with 3 young children in the Wayland school system, we fully support and endorse Erin Gibbons for School Committee. When we learned that Erin was going to run for School Committee, we knew that she would be the perfect person for the role.
As a mother of four wonderful children who span kindergarten to high school, Erin is invested and well versed in the past, present and future of our school system and its students. Erin’s deep commitment is evident through her years of volunteer work on multiple school councils (she is currently serving at the high school), as well as dedicating her time as a committee member for the principal and assistant principal search at Happy Hollow. Erin has been a PTO liaison, served on the superintendent’s task force, coaches youth soccer and is very supportive of Wayland athletics.
Erin’s professional experience as an attorney will also serve her well as a School Committee member. Erin is experienced in assessing risk, analyzing diverse viewpoints, resolving disagreements, and driving consensus, as well as navigating town committees and processes.
Above all, what stands out most to us, is her character. She is open-minded, fair, inquisitive, respectful and positive. She will be an advocate for our students, a voice of reason, a problem solver and work tirelessly to be a unifying force for our community. She will get the job done.
Our children will be in the Wayland schools for many years and we are honored to support, endorse and vote for Erin Gibbons on May 10th for School Committee.
