Craig Russell grew up in the Winter Park Pines neighborhood and attended Brookshire Elementary School, Glenridge Middle School and Winter Park High School. He graduated from the University of Central Florida and holds a masters degree in Educational Leadership. Craig has been a teacher and athletic coach at Winter Park High School for the past 20 years. In 2019 he became a small business owner in Winter Park after he and his wife, Kate Demory, founded  Army of Angels, a non-profit dedicated to meeting the needs of our local youth. Kate and Craig named Army of Angels after the Winter Park community and beyond, who have time and time again, responded to the needs of our local homeless and struggling youth. They lovingly refer to these selfless people as "Angel Warriors" and continue to share the needs and voice of our youth while giving the community of angels the opportunity to positively impact the trajectory of a young person's life. 

Craig is married to Kate Demory and together they have a blended family of 5 children. Elizabeth (UCF), Madeline and Benjamin (Winter Park HS), Gracyn (Glenridge MS), and Streete (Brookshire ES). Craig serves on the Winter Park Library Board and the City of Winter Park Parks and Recreation Board.
