What will I be doing?

Volunteering with us is both a fun and rewarding experience.

As an Teaching Intern you will be working with children in our community program as a teaching assistant. We like to customise roles to play to the individual strengths and talents of our volunteers. Typical volunteer duties include helping to teach English language classes, planning games and activities, tutoring students one-to-one, assisting with field trips and conducting personal projects.

Volunteers usually work around 25 - 30 hours per week. Weekends will be free time for all volunteers.

Where will I be staying?

You will live and work in a small traditional Costa Rican town, located in the heart of Costa Rica. Set within the beautiful green hills of the rural central valley, and known as one of the safest and friendliest places in Costa Rica. We have a warm and sunny year-round climate and are situated in easy reach of many of Costa Rica's most popular tourist attractions.

When can I volunteer?

We accept volunteers from 1st February to 30th November every year.

How long can I volunteer for?

Our minimum stay is 6 weeks but we give preference to those who can stay longer.

What is it like to volunteer in Costa Rica?

Fun, rewarding and unforgettable. Read our review section to see what some of our previous volunteers have thought. You can also watch a great video on our homepage that was made by some of our previous volunteers.

What if I have more questions?
