Data collection
Volume Booter Pro does not collect or transmit personal data to any third party. All processing happens locally in the browser.
Local storage usage
We store your settings, volume/EQ profiles, and backup JSON in browser storage (chrome.storage.local or equivalent). These are only used to persist your preferences and to quickly reapply per-site audio behavior.
Permissions and runtime access
tabs: needed to identify active audible tabs and apply controls.
storage: needed to save user presets and site profiles.
scripting / host permissions: needed to inject audio processing code into pages you explicitly use.
No data is sent from these permissions. They only modify in-browser audio.
No analytics
No telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking is collected.
Backup/restore
Exported backup JSON is generated locally in browser memory and downloaded to user device only. Import loads local file data into extension storage only.
Third-party content
The extension may function on third-party sites (YouTube, Spotify Web, etc.), but does not interact with their servers beyond what your browser already does when you open those pages.
Updates
Any new version uses the same local-only data policies. On update, existing settings are preserved if compatible; no new personal data is created.
