• VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds — biggest strength: a charging case that doubles as a 2,000 mAh power bank, feeding up to 25 hours of total playtime, plus a digital LED screen that shows the exact battery level of both the case and the buds.
• VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds — biggest trade-off: the case and buds are heavier and bulkier than a plain pair of buds (4 oz total, 2.1 oz for the case alone), and the waterproofing is IPX4-rated for the earbuds only — the case itself is not protected.
• Generic Earbuds — biggest strength: Bluetooth 5.4 — one generation newer than the VOLT PLUS TECH — in a light 0.1 kg package with a 15-meter range, ENC noise cancelling and a find-my-earbuds function.
• Generic Earbuds — biggest trade-off: battery life is far shorter at around 6 hours, there is no power-bank function, and the spec sheet gives no waterproof rating at all.
• Who each pick is for: the VOLT PLUS TECH is for the person who hates running out of charge and wants their case to top up a phone in a pinch; the Generic pair is for the light traveller who wants current Bluetooth, a low weight and surround-sound fun.
The headline feature here is the case. It carries a 2,000 mAh battery and is designed to work as a power bank, so it can keep the earbuds topped up while also being useful when something else — a phone, a small accessory — is running low. VOLT PLUS TECH quotes up to 5+ hours of streaming per earbud and 25 hours total with the case, and the case itself recharges in about 2 hours over USB-C. There is also a second figure floating in the listing — "36 hours" of recharging — so treat the 25-hour number as the earbud playtime figure and the larger one as the case's reserve capacity. Either way, this is a set you charge once and forget about for days.
On the audio side, the specs list a 26 mm dynamic driver, 25.94 ohm impedance, 103 dB sensitivity and a claimed 9 ms latency, plus 8D bass and stereo surround processing. Bluetooth 5.3 is on board with a 33-foot range. Four microphones (two per earbud) work with CVC 8.1 noise reduction, which the listing describes as cutting noise by up to 30 dB — that is the call-quality story, and it is a real step up from a single-mic design. The buds are IPX4 water and sweat resistant, fine for rain and gym sessions, though the case is not.
Buy it if you want the longest possible time between charges, you like knowing your exact battery percentage, you take a lot of calls, or you want a case that can bail out a dying phone. Skip it if you want the absolute lightest, most pocketable set, or if you plan to expose the case to water.
Generic Earbuds: Who It's For
The Generic set plays a different game. Bluetooth 5.4 is the newest version in this comparison, and it comes with a 15-meter (roughly 49-foot) wireless range — noticeably more reach than the 33 feet on the VOLT PLUS TECH. The whole package weighs 0.1 kg, so it disappears in a pocket or bag, and the white finish stands out from the sea of black cases.
The feature list is squarely aimed at everyday convenience: ENC noise cancelling on calls, smart touch control, a find-my-earbuds function for the inevitable moment one slips under the sofa, stereo wireless sharing so two people can listen from the same source, and a portable charging case. The driver is a 14.2 mm dynamic unit at 32 ohm impedance, and the sound is presented as 360° surround. In the box you get the buds, the case, silicone tips in S/M/L and a USB-C cable.
The trade-off is endurance. Battery life is listed at 6 hours, and there is no power-bank capability and no stated water resistance. For a day of commuting, study or work-from-home listening, 6 hours is workable; for a long-haul flight or a full day outdoors, it is not.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for battery life → VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds. Up to 25 hours total with the case versus roughly 6 hours on the Generic set.
• Best for charging flexibility → VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds. The case doubles as a 2,000 mAh power bank, so it is a backup battery as well as a headphone case.
• Best for knowing your battery level → VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds. A digital LED readout with 7 power levels beats guessing from a single indicator light.
• Best for call clarity → VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds. Four microphones with CVC 8.1 noise reduction, quoted at up to 30 dB of noise suppression, versus ENC on the Generic pair.
• Best for the newest Bluetooth and longest range → Generic Earbuds. Bluetooth 5.4 and a 15-meter range against Bluetooth 5.3 and 33 feet.
• Best for lightweight, pocket-friendly carry → Generic Earbuds. 0.1 kg total versus a 4 oz kit with a 2.1 oz case.
• Best for sweat and rain → VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds. IPX4 on the earbuds; the Generic listing states no water-resistance rating.
• Best for extra features → Generic Earbuds. Find-my-earbuds and stereo wireless sharing are not part of the VOLT PLUS TECH feature set.
In my opinion, the VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds are the set I would buy. The reason is simple: the two things that actually ruin wireless earbuds in daily life are running out of battery and not being able to hear a call, and VOLT PLUS TECH attacks both directly with a 25-hour power-bank case, an honest LED battery readout and a four-mic CVC 8.1 setup. The IPX4 rating also means I would not panic in the rain.
I would only steer you to the Generic Earbuds if you genuinely value low weight and the newest Bluetooth version above everything else, and if 6 hours of listening matches how you actually use earbuds. For most people, the extra endurance wins.
For battery life, call noise reduction and water resistance, yes — 25 hours total with a power-bank case and IPX4 protection versus 6 hours and no stated water rating. The Generic pair counters with Bluetooth 5.4, a longer range and a lighter build.
VOLT PLUS TECH lists 5+ hours per earbud and up to 25 hours total with the case, which recharges in about 2 hours. The Generic earbuds are listed at 6 hours of battery life with no separate case figure given.
They list ENC noise cancelling for calls, which is a microphone-side feature rather than active noise cancellation for the listener. No water-resistance rating appears in their specifications, so I would not count on them for heavy sweat or rain.
I would go with the VOLT PLUS TECH Pro Earbuds. Four microphones with CVC 8.1 noise reduction, quoted at up to 30 dB of noise suppression, is a more complete calling package than ENC alone. If price is the deciding factor for you, check the current price on Amazon before you commit.
