Policy Principles:
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. We have accordingly developed this Privacy Policy to protect your personal information and keep it confidential. We endeavor to comply with applicable laws but cannot warrant full compliance across all jurisdictions. We do everything we reasonably can to protect your rights of privacy on systems and the app controlled by us, but we are not liable for any unauthorised or unlawful disclosures of your personal and confidential information made by third parties who are not subject to our control. You should take note that the information and privacy practices of our business partners or other services to which we provide links may be different from ours. Our privacy policy is subject to change at any time without notice. To make sure you are aware of any changes, please review this policy periodically.
We categorise information about you (collectively referred to as "Personal Information") as follows:
1. Profiling Information:
Information which you provide when you register for the Service, which may include some or all of the following:
- Information about your personal identity such as name and email ID;
- Your contact details such as physical address or phone number.
2. Location Information:
Precise or approximate location data collected while using the app to show you nearby stores and discount card providers. Location is used only while the app is in use and is not stored beyond your session.
3. Media Information:
Photos or images you choose to upload when creating or editing store listings. These are stored securely on our servers and are only used to display your listings within the app.
4. Service Usage:
Information about your navigation using our Services, such as pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app.
5. Log Information:
Information such as your device type, IP address, browser or app version, and date and time of requests.
6. Transactional Information:
Records of activity within the app such as stores added, edited, or deleted, and discount cards created.
7. User IDs:
Your email address, username, and other security-related information used in relation to our Services. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
8. Stored Information:
Data created by you, such as store listings and images, which you upload to our servers.
We only collect your Personal Information to conduct our business and to enable us to deliver and improve our Services. We do not sell your Personal Information to any third party or otherwise trade on it.
Right to Collect Information
By accepting the Terms and Conditions you agree that we may collect and store your Personal Information as long as you use our Services, subject to the limitations set out in this Privacy Policy.
We collect your Profiling and Account Information for the following reasons:
1. We need your identity and contact details to manage our relationship with you and provide Services to you.
2. We use certain information in an aggregated form to compile statistical profiles for our business and marketing activities. Such aggregated data cannot be used to identify you individually.
We collect and store your Location Information to:
1. Show you stores and discount card providers near your current location.
2. Improve the relevance and accuracy of search results within the app.
We collect and store your Service Usage and Transactional Information to:
1. Determine and verify Service activity and administer our relationship with you.
2. Comply with any statutory or regulatory requirement.
3. Compile statistical profiles for our business and marketing activities, and to customise our Services to you. We will only disclose such information in an aggregated form.
4. Monitor your use of our Services to ensure compliance with our Terms and Conditions.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services that may collect data subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google Maps / Places API — used to display maps and search locations. Subject to [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- Appwrite Cloud — used for authentication and database storage. Subject to [Appwrite's Privacy Policy](https://appwrite.io/privacy).
General Exceptions
If we are required to intercept, disclose, monitor and/or store your Personal Information:
1. by law;
2. to conduct our business;
3. to secure our systems; or
4. to enforce our own rights,
we will do so in the manner as prescribed by law. Such interception, disclosure, monitoring and storage may take place without your knowledge. In that case, we will not be liable to you or any third party for any damages howsoever arising from such interception, disclosure, monitoring and storage.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information at any time by contacting us at the address below. Upon request, we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
