Tournament Rules

ALL TOURNAMENTS WILL FOLLOW USAV RULES & REGULATIONS

General Rules 

• Doubles are ALLOWED on the 2nd contact as long as the ball remains on your side and is contacted next by a teammate. 

• Let serves (serves that contact the net and then cross to the receiving side) count as legal serves.

• Serving order must remain the same throughout a set. 

• A player may not block a serve coming over the net.

• A block touch does not count as one of the 3 contacts.

• Players may reach over the net to block any attack or attempt to play the ball over the net. Other contacts can be played only once they cross into the plane of the net.

• If games are being played on adjacent courts, players must make contact with the ball before stepping into the other court. 

• NO Timeouts during pool play matches. Teams will get 1 timeout per set during playoff matches. 

• Substitutions are allowed in between points. There is no limit on the # of substitutions a team may have a set but players must substitue for the same person throughout a match.

• A player may make contact with the net that is legal if; A) the player is not directly involved in the play and B) the ball has already hit the ground 

• A player may legally cross the center line as long as it does not interfere with the play/opposing side *Example: Player slides under the net after a diving save but does not make contact with an opposing player

• Net Violations, Foot Faults, Center Line Violations, Doubles (Over/3rd Contact), Lifts are all to be called but NOT ARGUED ABOUT FOR 10 MINUTES!

At the end of the day, were all here playing the game we love with the people we love.

 Don't waste your energy arguing. WASTE IT PLAYING!

 For all disagreements, just replay it.
