The App is designed to provide high-quality audio recording, playback, and management tools for your device. By using the App, you agree to the rules outlined in this Policy.
Local Storage First: We value your privacy. Your audio recordings, voice memos, and file logs are stored directly on your device. We do not upload or store your audio files on our servers.
Minimal Data Processing: We only request and utilize the device permissions strictly necessary to record, save, and play back your audio.
User Control: You retain absolute control over your audio files, storage, and app permissions at all times.
To deliver a reliable background recording and audio management experience, the App requires specific system permissions. We process all data locally and ephemerally as detailed below:
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE): This is required to capture audio and create voice recordings. The foreground service permission ensures that your recording continues seamlessly without interruption if you switch to another app or lock your screen.
Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO): These permissions allow the App to save your recorded audio files directly to your device's local storage, create custom playlists, and read your existing audio recordings for in-app playback.
Media Playback (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Allows you to listen to your recordings continuously in the background while multitasking.
System Audio Settings (WRITE_SETTINGS): Enables you to directly set your favorite voice recordings as your device ringtone, notification sound, or alarm from within the app.
Bluetooth Accessories (BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT): These permissions allow the App to detect, connect to, and capture high-quality audio from external Bluetooth devices, such as wireless microphones or headsets.
Notifications & Persistence (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Used to display active recording controls in your status bar, send study or file alerts, and restore system stability or scheduled task listeners after your device reboots.
We work with trusted partners to help the App function, serve advertisements, and handle premium features:
Advertising Partners: To keep this utility free, we display ads using Google AdMob and its mediation partners. These networks may utilize your device’s advertising identifier (AD_ID) to prevent fraud, manage frequency capping, and deliver relevant ad experiences.
Premium Billing: Any premium feature purchases or subscription transactions are securely handled through the Google Play Billing API. We do not collect or store your financial billing records.
File Management & Erasure: Since all audio files are saved locally on your device, you can permanently delete your recordings at any time through the app's interface or by using your device's native file manager.
Manage Permissions: You can revoke microphone, storage, or notification permissions at any time via your device's System Settings > Apps > Voice Recorder > Permissions.
Ad Tracking Reset: You can reset or opt out of personalized tracking ads through your phone’s native privacy settings.
Our Voice Recorder utility is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit any personal data from children.
