Rod Pealle is a local radio show host.
He started working at the Stoney Creek Community Radio Station after some years as a Park Ranger in the area.
Rod is personable, willing to laugh, but more than anything Rod listens to people and gives them the time to talk before saying anything.
He became well enough known for his ability to remain neutral or non-judgmental regardless of the content of what people are saying, which gave him some popularity among fringe communities and social outcasts.
It is for this reason in particular that Rod has not made a name for himself in mainstream Radio.
But after being discovered recently online he found an audience and started to put himself out there despite being a bit less technically minded on the computer side.
Give him a radio, a microphone and he can do amazing things!
Mary Poe-Smith is a younger volunteer at the SCCRS who runs the show behind the scenes and is responsible for pushing Rod to start releasing his work for an online audience.
Mary Poe-Smith is silent for the radio segments but occasionally will do Copy Reads pre-recorded and is often refered to by Rod regularly enough that she is well known.
Rod occasionally refers to her as PS or Miss Poe-Smith.
The station got set up in the Old Stone Creek Poppet Head, using the existing structure as a radio tower and the old Foreman’s office with parts linked up through new structure built under the Poppet Head.
People call in with weird things that are happening in town or stories. The show would also include shout-outs or sponsorship stuff for things in town.
