VoiceLedger operates primarily as a local-first application. To provide seamless multi-device usage and resilience, we synchronize your data securely with a cloud database (Supabase) via Google Firebase Authentication. Your financial data is private by default and belongs exclusively to you.
Authentication Information: Your email address and basic profile details via Firebase Auth.
Financial Metadata: Ledger entries, transaction descriptions, values, text notes, and micro-goals synchronized via Supabase when online.
Voice Inputs: Audio you speak into VoiceLedger is instantly transcribed and converted to metadata. Raw audio files are NOT stored or retained.
VoiceLedger is designed for extreme environmental conditions. When you have no connection, your data is securely cached in your operating system's local storage engine (IndexedDB / LocalStorage). We do not execute background telemetry offline. Once a connection is active, offline data is securely upserted to the cloud.
If you configure a 4-digit PIN in Settings, the key is strictly local. We do not store your physical PIN on our remote servers. If you lose your PIN, bypassing it may require wiping the local cache entirely.
You have the right to disappear. Using the "Purge Secure Memory" and "Log Out" functions within the Settings dashboard will strip local states. If you wish to delete your entire cloud footprint permanently, please contact our support desk or delete your account context.
We use strictly necessary infrastructure providers (Firebase and Supabase) to authorize and house your data. We do not sell your ledger information, transaction history, or AI profiles to generalized advertising networks.
