Vocal Remover, Karaoke Maker (the “App”) is a music-processing application that lets users separate vocals, drums, and other stems from their own audio files. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and is operated by Vijay Dev (the “Developer”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Device & Technical Data – We automatically collect the device model, iOS version, IP address (for network requests), and crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics). This helps us ensure compatibility, diagnose issues, and improve performance.
Analytics (optional) – When enabled, Firebase Analytics records event names, timestamps, screen views, and feature usage such as “Separations performed” or “Credits purchased”. This data is used only to understand how the App is used and to guide product decisions.
In-App Purchase (IAP) Data – Apple StoreKit provides transaction identifiers, product identifiers, purchase timestamps, and price-tier information. RevenueCat proxies this data so we can grant, track, and restore credit bundles.
RevenueCat Identifiers – An anonymous user ID generated by RevenueCat and a list of owned packages are stored locally. This enables credit management across devices and purchase restoration.
Local User Data (on-device only) – Your credits balance and recent separation history (file names, timestamps) are saved in UserDefaults and encrypted files. This data never leaves your device.
User-Provided Content – Audio files you import for processing remain entirely on your device; they are never uploaded to any server.
No personally identifiable information (PII), such as name, email address, phone number, or precise location, is collected unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., when contacting support).
Provide Core Functionality – Credits, purchase validation, and audio processing rely on the data described above.
Improve the App – Anonymous usage statistics help us prioritize features and fix bugs.
Security & Fraud Prevention – Transaction data is verified with Apple and RevenueCat to prevent unauthorized credit grants.
Customer Support – If you contact us, we may retain the information you provide (e.g., an email address) solely to respond to your query.
All data is used only for the purposes listed and is never sold to third parties.
We work with a few third-party services that help us run the App. No personal data or audio content is shared with them.
Apple StoreKit – Verifies and restores IAPs. We share purchase receipts and product IDs with Apple’s servers.
RevenueCat – Manages consumable credit packages and syncs purchases across devices. We share an anonymous user ID, purchase history, and credit balance.
Firebase Analytics (optional) – Collects event names, timestamps, and device information (no PII).
Firebase Crashlytics – Sends crash logs and device details (no PII) to help us fix crashes.
Open-source Libraries – May be included in the codebase, but they do not receive any user data.
All of the above services are bound by their own privacy policies, and we only provide the minimum data required for their functionality.
Credits balance and purchase history are retained as long as you keep the App installed, or until you manually reset them.
Device and analytics data are automatically purged by the respective SDKs (typically after 60 days).
Crash logs are kept until the issue is resolved or the App is removed.
Local audio files you import are stored temporarily in the App’s sandbox and are deleted when you discard them or uninstall the App.
Access / Review – Open the App and go to Settings → “Credits & History” to view your credit balance and separation history.
Deletion – Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data. You may also contact us (see Contact Us section) to request removal of any RevenueCat data linked to your anonymous ID.
Data Portability – Because we store only non-PII data, there is no personal data export.
Do-Not-Track – iOS does not provide a universal DNT header. You can disable Analytics in the App’s Settings (if the option is exposed).
Withdraw Consent – Disable Analytics or Crashlytics in Settings, or uninstall the App to stop all data collection.
All data stored on the device is encrypted by iOS’s Data Protection APIs. Communication with Apple and RevenueCat uses TLS 1.2 or higher. No audio files leave the device; therefore, there is no risk of remote interception of user media.
The App is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect regulatory changes or new features. Any material changes will be posted within the App (Settings → “Privacy Policy”), and a new version date will appear at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
