Privacy Policy

General
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the Vocabulizer app collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Vocabulizer is an English vocabulary learning app with flashcards, a searchable dictionary, and a home screen widget. By using the app you agree to the terms described below.
Data We Collect
Vocabulizer collects only the data needed for your account, subscription and notifications: email and password for email sign-up, or your name, email and profile photo when you sign in with Google or Apple; a device identifier (Android ID); a push notification token if you allow notifications; a subscription purchase token and product ID via Google Play Billing; and, only if you choose to contact us, the text of your feedback message. We also collect anonymized usage analytics and crash reports.
We do not collect contacts, location, or camera/microphone access — the app does not request these permissions.
On-Device Only
The word dictionary used by the app and your word-viewing history and progress are stored only on your device using local, encrypted storage. This data is never sent to our server and is removed automatically when you uninstall the app.
How We Use Data
We use the data above to create and manage your account, let you sign in with Google or Apple, verify and manage your subscription, send push notifications you have opted into, respond to feedback you send us, fix bugs using crash reports, and understand feature usage with anonymized analytics. We do not display ads and we do not sell your personal data.
Third-Party Services
Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Google Play Billing.
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed only to the service providers listed above, or as required by law.
Storage and Security
Account data is stored in encrypted storage on your device. All network traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS. Your password is never stored or transmitted in plain text.
Data Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and is deleted within a reasonable time after you delete your account.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete your account, revoke notification permission, or cancel your subscription via Google Play at any time.
Children
Vocabulizer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
