Vocabsters is a language learning game developed by Sam Harding. This Privacy Policy describes how Vocabsters handles user information.
We are committed to maintaining your privacy and ensuring that any data processed by our systems is handled responsibly and securely.
Vocabsters is designed to minimize data collection.
We do not collect or store personally identifiable information such as real names, email addresses, or contact details.
The app may process the following limited information:
Sign in with Apple: Used solely for authentication. We do not receive or store your real name, email, or any personal data from Apple. Authentication ensures that you can access your saved progress across devices.
Nickname: Users select a nickname, which is stored and associated with their game progress.
Group Name: Users can create or join a group identified by a custom name. This allows game progress to be organized and shared within that group.
Device Code (Multiplayer): When playing in multiplayer mode, a temporary, unique device code is generated to identify players during matches. This code is not personally identifying and is used only for in-game session management.
Vocabsters does not collect:
Real names or contact details
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Analytics, behavioral, or usage tracking information
The limited data collected is used exclusively to:
Enable user authentication
Save and synchronize gameplay progress
Identify devices in multiplayer sessions
Display progress among users within the same group
We do not use this data for analytics, marketing, or advertising.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose user data to third parties.
The only in-app sharing that occurs is within gameplay:
A user’s nickname may be visible to others during multiplayer sessions.
Group members can view each other’s progress within their shared group leaderboard.
No other data is publicly visible or shared externally.
All stored data, including nicknames, progress, and group information, is kept in a secure database. We implement encryption and access controls to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
Vocabsters uses Sign in with Apple for secure user authentication.
Apple may process limited data as part of this function, as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy:
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Vocabsters does not integrate or utilize any additional third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
Nickname, progress, and group data are retained.
If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us and provide your nickname, group name and group code. We will remove your associated data promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will always indicate the most recent version.
