Vocabix is a vocabulary learning application designed to help users improve their English vocabulary using spaced repetition, flashcards, and interactive study tools. The app is intended for general language learning and may be helpful for learners preparing for English proficiency exams such as YDS, YÖKDİL, IELTS, or similar exams. Vocabix is not affiliated with or endorsed by any official examination organizations.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the application.
By using Vocabix, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Collected
Vocabix does not require users to create an account in order to use its core features.
The application may store the following information locally on the user’s device:
- vocabulary lists
- flashcard learning progress
- review history
- user-created word packs
- study statistics
This information is used only to provide the core functionality of the vocabulary learning system.
2. User-Generated Content
Vocabix allows users to create their own vocabulary lists, flashcards, translations, example sentences, and other study content.
This user-generated content is stored locally on the user’s device and is used solely for learning purposes within the application.
3. Local Data Storage
All vocabulary data, flashcards, and learning progress are stored locally on the user’s device using a local database.
This information is not transmitted to external servers unless the user explicitly enables optional online features such as backup or sign-in.
4. Optional Google Sign-In
Vocabix may allow users to sign in with their Google account in order to enable optional cloud backup and related features.
If the user chooses to sign in:
- basic account information such as name, email address, and profile photo may be made available through Google Sign-In
- this information is used only to authenticate the user and support optional backup-related functionality
- the developer does not sell or share this information with third parties for independent marketing purposes
5. Optional Backup Services
The app may offer optional backup features, such as Google Drive backup, that allow users to store their learning data in their own cloud account.
If this feature is used:
- the data is stored in the user’s personal cloud storage
- the developer does not access, view, or store this data on external servers
- the data remains under the user’s control
6. Notifications
Vocabix may send reminder notifications to encourage regular vocabulary study and flashcard review.
Users can disable notifications at any time through their device settings.
When voice repetition is active, the app may show a visible notification to indicate that it is running in the background.
7. Text-to-Speech
The app may use the device’s built-in text-to-speech services to pronounce vocabulary words. These services are provided by the operating system or by third-party providers available on the device.
The voice repetition feature may continue running when the screen is off or when the app is in the background, if started by the user. In this case, the app may show an ongoing notification to indicate that voice repetition is active. This feature does not record audio or use the microphone.
8. Internet Access
The app may use internet access for limited purposes such as:
- optional cloud backup services
- optional sign-in functionality
- downloading application resources
- displaying advertisements in the free version of the app
9. Advertising
The free version of Vocabix may display advertisements through third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob.
These services may collect certain technical information, which may include:
- device identifiers
- advertising ID
- approximate location
- app interaction data
This information is used by the advertising provider to deliver and improve advertisements in accordance with its own policies.
Users who upgrade to a premium version of the app may experience an ad-free version.
10. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Vocabix may offer optional in-app purchases or subscription plans that unlock additional features or remove advertisements.
All payments are processed securely by Google Play. The application does not collect or store payment information such as credit card details.
11. Third-Party Services
Vocabix may use third-party services provided by Google, including but not limited to:
- Google Play Services
- Google Play Billing
- Google AdMob
- Google Sign-In
- Google Drive API
These services may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies.
12. Data Sharing
Vocabix does not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties.
However, third-party services such as Google Play Services, Google Sign-In, Google Drive, or advertising providers may process certain information according to their own privacy policies in order to provide their services.
13. Data Security
Vocabix takes reasonable measures to protect data stored on the user’s device. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for general educational use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If a parent or guardian believes that personal information has been provided through the use of third-party services, they may contact the developer to request assistance.
15. Image Text Processing
Vocabix may allow users to import vocabulary from user-selected images or photos.
If this feature is used:
- text inside the selected image may be processed on the device using OCR (optical character recognition) technologies
- detected words may optionally be translated using on-device or cloud-assisted translation services provided by Google ML Kit or related system services
- image processing quality, word detection accuracy, and translation quality may vary depending on the device, operating system, image quality, internet connection, and available system services
- selected images are not uploaded to the developer’s servers
- detected content is processed only to provide the vocabulary import functionality

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.

6. Bildirimler
Vocabix, düzenli çalışma alışkanlığı kazandırmak amacıyla hatırlatma bildirimleri gönderebilir.
Kullanıcılar bu bildirimleri cihaz ayarlarından istedikleri zaman kapatabilir.
Sesli tekrar aktifken, uygulama arka planda çalıştığını göstermek için görünür bir bildirim gösterebilir.
7. Metin Okuma (Text-to-Speech)
Uygulama, kelimelerin telaffuzu için cihazın yerleşik metin okuma (text-to-speech) hizmetlerini kullanabilir. Bu hizmetler işletim sistemi veya cihazda bulunan üçüncü taraf sağlayıcılar tarafından sunulmaktadır.
Sesli tekrar özelliği kullanıcı tarafından başlatıldığında, ekran kapalıyken veya uygulama arka plandayken çalışmaya devam edebilir. Bu durumda uygulama, sesli tekrarın aktif olduğunu göstermek için kalıcı bir bildirim gösterebilir. Bu özellik ses kaydı yapmaz ve mikrofon kullanmaz.
8. İnternet Kullanımı
Uygulama internet bağlantısını yalnızca aşağıdaki amaçlarla kullanabilir:
- isteğe bağlı bulut yedekleme
- isteğe bağlı giriş işlemleri
- uygulama kaynaklarını indirme
- ücretsiz sürümde reklam gösterimi
9. Reklamlar
Vocabix’in ücretsiz sürümü, Google AdMob gibi üçüncü taraf reklam hizmetleri aracılığıyla reklam gösterebilir.
Bu hizmetler aşağıdaki teknik bilgileri toplayabilir:
- cihaz tanımlayıcıları
- reklam kimliği
- yaklaşık konum bilgisi
- uygulama kullanım verileri
Bu bilgiler reklam sağlayıcı tarafından kendi politikaları doğrultusunda reklam sunmak ve iyileştirmek amacıyla kullanılır.
Premium sürüme geçen kullanıcılar reklamsız deneyim elde edebilir.
10. Uygulama İçi Satın Alımlar ve Abonelikler
Vocabix, ek özellikler sunan veya reklamları kaldıran isteğe bağlı satın alımlar ve abonelikler sunabilir.
Tüm ödemeler güvenli şekilde Google Play üzerinden gerçekleştirilir. Uygulama kredi kartı gibi ödeme bilgilerini saklamaz.
11. Üçüncü Taraf Hizmetler
Vocabix aşağıdaki Google hizmetlerini kullanabilir:

Bu hizmetler kendi gizlilik politikalarına göre veri işleyebilir.
12. Veri Paylaşımı
Vocabix kullanıcı verilerini satmaz, kiralamaz veya üçüncü taraflarla paylaşmaz.
Ancak Google Play Hizmetleri, Google Sign-In, Google Drive veya reklam sağlayıcıları kendi hizmetlerini sunmak için veri işleyebilir.
13. Veri Güvenliği
Vocabix, kullanıcı verilerini korumak için makul önlemler alır. Ancak hiçbir dijital depolama veya veri iletimi yöntemi tamamen güvenli değildir.
14. Çocukların Gizliliği

Bu özellik kullanıldığında:
- seçilen görseldeki metinler OCR (optik karakter tanıma) teknolojileri kullanılarak cihaz üzerinde işlenebilir
- algılanan kelimeler, Google ML Kit veya benzeri sistem servisleri aracılığıyla cihaz içi ya da bulut destekli çeviri hizmetleri kullanılarak çevrilebilir
- metin algılama ve çeviri kalitesi; cihaz modeli, işletim sistemi, görsel kalitesi, internet bağlantısı ve cihazdaki sistem servislerine bağlı olarak değişebilir
- seçilen görseller geliştiricinin sunucularına yüklenmez
- algılanan içerikler yalnızca kelime aktarma özelliğini sağlamak amacıyla işlenir
16. Politika Güncellemeleri
Bu Gizlilik Politikası zaman zaman güncellenebilir. Güncellemeler “Son güncelleme” tarihi değiştirilerek belirtilir.
