For the third consecutive year, the CTTC participated in the Overseas Internship Scheme (OIS) programme of Hong Kong City University (HK CityU, https://www.cityu.edu.hk/), aiming at enriching the work experience of its students by offering to them industrial- and research-based training as interns in wold-class institutions all over the world. In this opportunity, four students were selected to spend a 10-week internship at the premises of CTTC during summer 2019.
Three HK CityU students presented the results of the research projects that they have carried out during their visit, on the project entitled "Software-defined implementation of an OFDM-based Visible Light Communication (VLC) demonstrator".
HK CityU students: Yuen Man WAN, Yau Chun WONG and Fu Chiu YING.
Dr. Alexis Dowhuszko was a guest lecturer in the course of ELEC E7120-Wireless Systems for School of Electrical Engineering at Aalto University. During his lecture, he talked to students about optical wireless communication and some ATTRACT-VLADIMIR highlights.
Today, the first demonstration of visible light communication link for video transmission was successfully completed in Aalto University.
Also, Prof. Risto Wichman from the Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics also visited us and we had an opportunity showed him the demonstration.
We were happy to achieve October goals. Two IEEE conference paper submissions have been made.
We would like to thank Dr. Paulo Pinho from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation in Aalto University for his collaboration with us.
Stay tuned for upcoming updates!
The following papers of VLADIMIR research group have been accepted to IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2020) and International Conference on Communications (ICC 2020):
"The Effect of Power Allocation on Visible Light Communication Using Commercial Phosphor-Converted LED Lamp for Indirect Illumination",
"Visible Light Communication System in Presence of Indirect Lighting and Illumination Constraints".
Preprints will be available soon and thanks and congratulations to VLADIMIR team and its collaborators!
You can find our latest video on Youtube. VLADIMIR participants introduce the focus of VLADIMIR project.
We are happy to submit a manuscript, "Random forest learning method to identify different objects using channel estimations from VLC link", to IEEE PIMRC 2020 conference.
Stay tuned for upcoming updates!
We are happy to submit a manuscript, "Visible light communication-based positionin for indoor environments using supervised learning", to IEEE GLOBECOM 2020 conference.
Stay tuned for upcoming updates!
