Research interest
The theme of our group is "REFORM, PERFORM & TRANSFORM." REFORMING the existing methodology, PERFORMING the reactions after reforming, and TRANSFORMING the protocols by considering the principles of Green Chemistry.
Our group is centered on developing three different catalytic systems and their application in organic synthesis. The following area of research is being undertaken:
Research Area 1:
Merged photoredox catalysis and organocatalysis as a powerful tool for molecular activation toward the synthesis of small organic molecules.
Research Area 2:
Catalysis by organometallic nanoparticles for building valuable C-C and C-Heteroatom bonds in organic compounds.
Research Area 3:
Magnetically recoverable polymer grafted graphene oxide based metal NPs as novel photocatalysts for activating CO2 toward organic synthesis.
