Hi, I'm VJ! I am a Licensed Forester, graduate of Bachelor of Science in Forester specializing in Geographic Information System (GIS) 

I am Victor John Ergina. I am based in Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines, and am a licensed Forester and recent graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, where I earned my BS in Forestry from the College of Forestry and Natural Resources. My focus is on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a field I chose for its powerful ability to translate complex spatial data into accessible, visual insights—essential for informed decision-making in natural resource management.

Throughout my career, I've worked on Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) mapping, site validation, and satellite imagery analysis to enhance land cover comparisons. Currently, I’m exploring ways to automate GIS workflows in QGIS, aiming to streamline processes for better efficiency. I'm also expanding my skills to include ArcGIS, SQL, and Python, driven by a commitment to continuously grow my technical expertise.

As a licensed Forester, I am actively seeking opportunities in GIS, forestry, environmental science, and natural resource or watershed management, and am open to freelance projects. I welcome connections with others in the field, so please feel free to reach out!
