IPCCTV Assistant ("the Application") is developed and operated by VIVTRON ("we", "us", or "our"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Application.
1. Information Collection and Use
IPCCTV Assistant is a diagnostic and configuration utility designed for professional networking and CCTV installation environments.
We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or sell any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to external servers. All configuration data, camera credentials, and site records remain entirely on your local device.
2. Device Permissions and Usage
The Application requests specific Android permissions strictly to perform on-device technical operations:
• Camera: Used solely for scanning QR codes and barcodes on equipment. Video frames are processed locally in real time and are never recorded, saved, or uploaded.
• Location / Wi-Fi State: Required by the Android operating system to identify the local Wi-Fi SSID, frequency band, and subnet configuration for network scanning. Precise physical location data is not recorded or shared.
• Photos / Storage: Used exclusively to export generated PDF Site Handover reports and read barcode images selected by the user.
• Local Network / Multicast: Used to broadcast discovery probes across the local subnet to identify ONVIF-compliant IP cameras and network hardware.
3. Third-Party Services and Analytics
The Application contains no third-party advertising tracking SDKs or user profiling mechanisms. Network diagnostics (such as Speed Tests) query public endpoint nodes strictly to calculate latency and throughput without attaching user identity data.
4. Data Security
All saved camera profiles, RTSP URLs, and site notes are stored locally within the application's sandboxed SQLite database on your device.
