The Issues

You deserve a town government that will listen to you and take action! I pledge to make your needs a priority, by working to:

• Maintain and improve our all-important infrastructure, including roads, water and sewer lines.
• Encourage and protect our local businesses and home-based entrepreneurs, for smart economic development.
• Preserve the natural beauty of our town, and our quality of life.
• Explore new strategies for expanding Shandaken’s rentable housing supply, while protecting the economic benefits of short-term rentals.
• Work with our Sheriff and County Executive to protect the rights of immigrants, and reject discrimination in all our policies.
• Cut waste in Town government, while protecting all our vital services such as Police and Ambulance.
• Leave no stone unturned to find new sources of funding for needed operations and improvements.
• Network with utilities, County and State officials to expand cell signal coverage and broadband.
• Improve energy-efficiency in Town operations, and work to lessen our environmental impact.
• Expand our recreational opportunities, maintain existing facilities, and obtain grant funding for projects.
