Vivek Khare is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Mississippi State University, where he has been serving since August 2024. He is an active member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and American Society for Engineering Education. He also serves as a professional member of an AIAA Technical Committee and regularly contributes as a session chair at AIAA SciTech forums.

Dr. Khare is a reviewer for several leading journals and conferences published by AIAA, ASME, Taylor & Francis, and Springer. Prior to joining MSU, he mentored over 30 undergraduate and 15 graduate students during his doctoral and postdoctoral appointments.

His research focuses on deployable space structures, architectured composite systems, multiphysics structural health monitoring (SHM), aero-structural analysis, unmanned aerial vehicles, and physics-informed machine learning models for structural systems. His work integrates experimental mechanics, computational modeling, and data-driven approaches to enable next-generation aerospace structures for extreme environments.

Dr. Khare has authored over 35 journal and conference publications. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2021. During his undergraduate studies, he graduated with distinction and academic excellence award, securing 3rd rank in the university merit list.
