This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Vivaci Audio mobile application and related services (the “App”).
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
Vivaci Audio is a music competition and discovery platform where listeners vote, artists submit music, and users can message, follow, review, purchase merch, and subscribe to premium features.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information generated through your use of the App, and information processed by our service providers.
A. Account and Contact Information
• Name / display name / artist name
• Email address
• Password (stored as a secure hash) or social sign-in identifiers
• Phone number (for merch checkout)
• Physical / shipping address (for merch orders)
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Country
• Social media handles (for example Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, website)
B. Profile and User Content
• Profile photos
• Artist and listener bios
• Uploaded music / audio submissions
• Cover art and other images
• Reviews, ratings, and written comments
• Creator videos and related media
• Playlist, favorites, and “My Artists” selections
• In-app messages and match chat messages
C. Competition and App Activity
• Votes and rankings
• Campaign participation
• Scores, tiers, divisions, and achievements
• Mood preferences and genre preferences
• Search queries within the App
• Follows / subscriptions and related activity
D. Purchases and Payments
• Premium subscription status and purchase history
• Merch order details (items, totals, shipping info, order status)
• Stripe customer / payment identifiers
Important: Payment card details are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or bank account number on our servers.
E. Identifiers and Device Information
• User / account ID
• Firebase authentication ID (if you sign in with Google or Apple)
• Push notification device token (for alerts)
• Basic device/platform information needed to deliver the App (for example iOS or Android)
F. Permissions
Depending on how you use the App, we may request access to:
• Photos / camera (profile photo, cover art)
• Microphone (if audio recording features are enabled)
• Notifications (push alerts)
• Location (if requested by Stripe during secure payment processing for fraud prevention)
You can control many of these permissions in your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Create and manage your account
• Provide App features (profiles, submissions, voting, messaging, leaderboards, discovery)
• Process premium subscriptions and merch purchases
• Send transactional notices and optional push notifications
• Personalize experiences such as mood/genre preferences within the App
• Calculate scores, tiers, divisions, and competition results
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Improve reliability, support, and product functionality
• Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising networks or cross-app tracking for advertising.

A. Other Users (as part of the App)
Depending on your settings and activity, other users may see:
• Your public profile information
• Artist submissions, cover art, and related competition stats
• Reviews/comments you publish
• Social handles you choose to display
B. Service Providers
We use trusted providers to operate the App:
• Firebase (Google): authentication and push notifications
• Google / Apple: Sign in with Google / Sign in with Apple
• Stripe: payment processing
• Amazon Web Services (AWS S3): storage of uploaded images and audio
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.
C. Legal and Safety
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Vivaci Audio, our users, or the public.
D. Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
5. Tracking and Advertising
Vivaci Audio does not use your data for App Tracking as defined by Apple (linking data with third-party data for advertising or advertising measurement, or sharing with a data broker).
We do not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or analytics advertising networks in the App.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App.
We may retain certain records longer when required for:
• Legal compliance
• Dispute resolution
• Fraud prevention
• Financial / transaction records
• Security and integrity of the platform
If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account, except where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes (for example, completed order records).
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account / request deletion of personal data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Opt out of optional communications / notification categories
In-App Controls
You can:
• Update profile information in Settings
• Manage notification preferences
• Control privacy-related profile visibility options where available
• Delete your account from Settings (where offered)

8. Children’s Privacy
Vivaci Audio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Users
If you use the App from outside the country where our servers or providers operate, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries that may have different data protection laws. We take steps designed to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, social media profiles or payment pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies separately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App or by email.
Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
