The vitreous body, or vitreous humour, fills the space between the lens and the retina of the vertebrate eye. Light focused by the lens passes through this gel-like medium before landing on the retina, which converts the light into neural signals to send to the brain.

Film as an art medium holds the similar capacity to be an interface between the objective visual and subjective interpretation. Through our festival, VITREOUS, we aim to explore how film focused on the healthcare community and the art of medicine can alter perceptions and provoke a meaningful change in perspective.
