Vitreous Film Festival is an event dedicated to inspiring changes in perspectives of healthcare and expanding our understanding of student, patient, and staff experiences within the field. This year’s theme, In Translation, draws on the ability and necessity of healthcare workers to translate their knowledge and expertise in a manner that is comprehensible to patients and the public. Furthermore, this theme acknowledges the complexity of having patient needs meaningfully communicated back to the healthcare worker and the significance these interactions can have on both participants. It is our objective to explore this duality of emotional translation to better promote an understanding between the members of the broader community and the individuals providing their care.
