ITALIAN MEDIEVAL MASTERPIECE

Level:     All levels welcome.
Medium:   Watercolor, Instructors will demonstrate in Watercolor, pen & ink, and graphite.  

Create art under the exceptional guidance of experienced instructors in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings!  You'll find new skills, camaraderie, connections, motivation, and inspiration as an artist.  

Explore central Italy's enchanting medieval hill towns with grand palaces and gardens, gothic churches, Romanesque cathedrals, and picturesque Cimini Mountains. Immerse yourself in capturing the inspiring essence of these charming locales as we paint and draw using various mediums. We will explore the composition of the unique scenery in and around Viterbo, capturing moments in time, such as the play of light on ancient walls and the rhythm of narrow ancient streets with large stones nestled into woven stories.

Join Susan O'Neill and Stephanie Chang for an exhilarating immersion into the color and rhythms of the Italian landscape. Our workshop will provide step-by-step instructions to capture your inspirations with painting and drawing, from observed color theory to a plein air exploration of this unique Italian countryside. Be captivated by the landscape, architectural elements, townscapes, winding medieval streets, sculptures, fountains, figures in landscape, and more. Observe and interpret the dynamic relationships within the pictorial space and the importance of values, complementary color, and temperature in ways that will immediately improve your work. All levels of painters will benefit from this workshop, from fearless beginners to professional artists.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

The scholarship program is offered for art instructors and students pursuing an art career or that requires financial assistance. Please contact us or reserve your spot by April 15th.
