BIO  


Susan O'Neill is an Fine Artist known for capturing her inspirations with a unique, expressive character that permeates harmony and vitality. Susan strives to create a balance between the uniqueness of her subject through both representational and abstract expressions. She finds tremendous inspiration in how these elements intertwine and influence the perception of art. Ultimately, she hopes to convey passion and excitement in the work of art and the timeless nature of inspired landscape painting.


An award-winning artist, Susan's enthusiastic, informative teaching style emphasizes the importance of a strong foundation and design principles in any medium to achieve fresh and unique works of art. An energetic and engaging instructor, Susan encourages structure and expression of character life drawing and watercolor courses. In support of the 2017 Teacher Institute at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, Susan demonstrated and lectured on figurative oil painting techniques of the Venetian Renaissance. 

Currently, she is on the faculty at The Art League and the University of Maryland. She is represented at Principle Gallery in Alexandria, VA. 


Susan earned s a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and continued study with internationally recognized instructors at the University of Michigan, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Corcoran School of Art, Studio Incaminati, and The Art League in Alexandria. Susan's many years of diverse experience have honed her artist's eye and provided varied opportunities to exhibit her work and teach internationally. She received the prestigious awards of Finalist and Certificate of Excellence from the Portrait Society of America's Annual International Competition, along with honors, finalist, and best-in-show awards in the Art Renewal Center International Salon, Salmagundi Club in New York City, and The Art League in Alexandria. Susan has held solo exhibitions in the United States and Japan.

STEPHANIE CHANG

BIO  


Stephanie Chang is an accomplished Fine Artist, showcasing her award-winning pieces both locally and internationally. Her work predominantly revolves around figurative and portraiture art, adopting the classical realism 

style to convey the innate beauty 

of the human form. In her landscapes, she seeks to simplify 

and merge natural elements in 

order to reveal their inherent interconnectedness. 


Stephanie's passion and commitment extend to imparting her knowledge through various 

art courses and workshops. Her teaching philosophy is grounded 

in equipping students with 

technical proficiency across 

diverse art mediums and 

encourage self-expression. 


Stephanie earned a Bachelor of 

Fine Arts (BFA) from the Massachusetts College of Arts & Design. Complementing her 

artistic background, she holds a Masters in Teaching Visual Arts 

from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In recognition of her dedication to 

art education, Stephanie was honored with the Marian Churchill Award in Art Education and the Graduate Fellowship Art Education Award. Recently, her work has 

been featured in the Best of Drawing issue of the Artists Magazine and Pastel Journal as well as her 

portraits awarded top honors in 

the Strokes of Genius competition 

and Portrait Society of America Members Only Competition.
